Chorlton Performing Arts School aims to provide a high quality and positive drama, musical theatre, dance and singing experience to all those attending our classes and as such we ask that all participants adhere to the relevant terms and conditions below:
- Registration forms and all relevant documents must be filled in and submitted prior to attendance at a class.
- No refunds are given unless a class is cancelled by Chorlton Performing Arts School.
- Attendance at a class assumes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- You must notify us of any changes to contact or medical information to enable us to keep up-to-date information for the safety of your child.
- Students participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform Chorlton Performing Arts School and its staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions along with emergency contact information.
- Chorlton Performing Arts School will from time to time take photographs and film footage of students during the class time for use in marketing and publicity material. If you wish for your child not to be photographed or filmed please indicate on the registration form.
- Term dates for the following term will be made known in writing at the end of each term and on our Facebook page.
- Chorlton Performing Arts School asks that all participants abide by the Health & Safety requirements of the venue.
- Chorlton Performing Arts School accepts no responsibility for any loss of property or personal injury during class times.
- Chorlton Performing Arts School reserves the right to refuse entry to classes at their discretion.
- Chorlton Performing Arts School reserves the right to substitute tutors without notice.
- For the first 2 lessons pupils may wear suitable loose clothing/non uniform dance wear, after which uniform must be worn.
- All students should refrain from chewing gum during classes and I ask that, when bringing snacks, you avoid anything that contains nuts.
- All students must arrive to class on time, preferably 5 minutes before class starts, ready in the foyer, dressed and prepared and ready for the class to begin.
- We are only responsible for your child within the times of their class.
- There is a zero tolerance policy towards bullying and anti-social behaviour/aggressive behaviour towards any other students and/or teachers at Chorlton Performing Arts School, we will strive to have a positive, fun environment for all. Anybody who acts in such a way will be asked to leave the school.
- Should a class be cancelled/changed for any reason you will be notified by Chorlton Performing Arts School and unless another class is arranged a full refund for that class will be given.
- Chorlton Performing Arts School will not pass on your details to any third parties without your permission.
- Payment is to be made, in advance, on a termly basis which will guarantee a place in chosen classes.
- No refunds will be given once term has started.
- If your child no longer requires a place in a class, a 4 week notice period is required before the start of a new term.

Who processes your information?
Chorlton Performing Arts School is the data controller of the personal information you provide to us. This means the school determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, any personal data relating to pupils and their families is to be processed.

The categories of pupil information that the school collects, holds and shares include the following:
- Personal information – e.g. names, contact numbers, addresses and date of birth.
- Characteristics – e.g. ethnicity, language, nationality,
- Attendance information – e.g. number of absences and absence reasons

- Information relating to SEND
Whilst most of the personal data you provide to the school is mandatory, some is provided on a voluntary basis. When collecting data, the school will inform you whether you are required to provide this data or if your consent is needed. Where consent is required, the school will provide you with specific and explicit information with regards to the reasons the data is being collected and how the data will be used.
How long is your data stored for?
Personal data relating to pupils at Chorlton Performing Arts School and their families is stored in line with the school’s GDPR Data Protection Policy.
In accordance with the GDPR, the school does not store personal data indefinitely; data is only stored for as long as is necessary to complete the task for which it was originally collected.
What are your rights?
Parents and pupils have the following rights in relation to the processing of their personal data. You have the right to:
